Based on your company's travel configurations, certain itineraries may require approval before they are confirmed. Those with approval rights have 24 hours from the time of booking to approve. To support Trip Authorizers during their time off, Trip Authorizers have access to the Out of Office profile page.
This article shows you, a Trip Authorizer, how to set up the Out of Office settings in your profile.
Note: To ensure your trip authorization request are handled in your absence, select the First and Last date (Optional) that you will be out of the office and then select the authorizers that requests should be sent to during the selected date range. You should ensure that your backups will not be out of the office during the date range indicated. This will not redirect the approvals you have already received. First Day and a backup authorizer(s) are required when out of office is turned on.
Step 1: On your account homepage, select Profile, and then select Out of Office.
Step 2: Turn Out of Office to ON, select the First Day and Last Day of your time off and the Time Zone you are in.
Note: Last Day is optional, which enables a Trip Authorizer to forward their approval requests indefinitely.
Step 3: Select +Add in the Available Authorizers section. Search for and select the Authorizer(s) that should receive your approval requests.
Step 4: Save your selections.
