Add Option in Trip Authorization Policy to Control Unbundled Fares for all Carriers

A new option has been added to the Trip Authorization Policy for Air. The new option is Contains Basic Economy fares. This new control provides the additional options to Warn and/or require trip approval for Basic Fares.

This control applies to Basic type fares from any carrier. You can use this new setting instead of maintaining the Restricted Fare Families lookup list when your policy applies to all Basic type fares. Certify maintains a list of Basic type fares that this control is applied to. This setting is not related to the Restricted Fare Families lookup list. If you currently have any Basic type fares in your lookup list included in a policy, those brand names will still be prohibited.

User Experience

When set to ​Prohibit​, any Basic type fare will be prohibited from selection.

When set to ​Warn​, the fare type will have a warning as follows:

Air Option Enhancements

  • Departure dates will now be displayed on the leg tabs
  • Dedicated ​Modify​ on the left pane
  • Consistent location for traveler information displayed above the air matrix.

  • By clicking the medical bag inside the hotel image the user will be taken to that hotel chain's COVID-19 information page. Example of clicking the medical bag in the image above would display ​https://covid.hilton.com/​ in a new tab in the browser.

UI/UX and Additional Car Enhancements

  • Car pick-up locations and pick-up time clearly identified at the top.
  • Off Airport Locations and their respective addresses clearly separated.
  • Now allows car shopping without requiring a preselected car type. ​All car types can now be returned.
  • Enable multiple car types to be returned for a contract.

  • To get all Car Types just set Preferred Car Type to (select). By not selecting a Car Type the search will bring back all Car Types.

UI/UX - Trip List Enhancements

  • Trip Research​ moved to the middle section of the page.
  • Pending Trips​ now placed at the top instead of the middle.
  • New ​Action​ icons. Hovering over the icon will display a tooltip.
  • New list headers to ensure clarity.
  • Consistent formatting with other lists in the product.
  • Lists can be collapsed as needed.
  • Trip Research​ and ​Trip Archives​ are now searchable.
  • Import​ moved to the ​Pending Trips​ bar at the top of the page.

UI/UX - Trip Authorization Enhancements

  • New icon for ​Trip Approval Actions​ to replace repeated text such as ​Approve,Deny, ​and ​Approve/Deny with Comments.
  • Hovering over the icon will show the action text in a tooltip.

UI/UX - Trip Template Enhancements

  • New grid layout keeps lists consistent within the product.
