Activating the SuperSwitch for American Airlines Follow

Certify Travel works with several Global Distribution Systems (GDS) to provide robust travel services for users.

However, some travel vendors, like American Airlines, sell some of their travel services outside of the GDS search. To include travel vendors in search results, Certify Travel provides a feature called the SuperSwitch to connect with these outside travel shopping sources. The SuperSwitch then connects to Travelfusion.

This outlines the specific steps that you, a TMC Administrator, will need to take to activate American Airlines in an Air SuperSwitch Setting using Travelfusion as the Provider.

Please Note: When air shopping, if Travelfusion returns an option that is also returned in the GDS options, the GDS option will be presented to the user and the Travelfusion option will be filtered out to avoid confusion.

Get Credentials from Travelfusion to Access American Airlines Content

If you do not yet have credentials from Travelfusion to access American Airlines content, please send the following information to accounts@travelfusion.com, and Travelfusion will apply for your American Airlines credentials:

The IATA number that you submit to Travelfusion will be required as part of the credentials for American Airlines. Travelfusion will supply you with the remaining credentials: agent identifier, agent login, and agent password.

Set up Air SuperSwitch for American Airlines

Follow the steps under Setting up Air SuperSwitch in Activating the SuperSwitch for Travelfusion - Air to set up Air SuperSwitch. When you choose American Airlines as your air provider under the Provider drop-down menu in step 5, you will use the credentials provided by Travelfusion as well as your IATA number:

• Login = agent login provided by Travelfusion
• Password = agent password provided by Travelfusion
• Booking Agent = agent identifier provided by Travelfusion
• IATA number = IATA number that you provided to Travelfusion
